César Axel is a Mexico-born artist based in Vevey, Switzerland.
His practice works across photography, installation, light, and object-based processes, focusing on how images, spaces, and systems organize perception, access, and belief. He approaches media as operational systems rather than fixed forms, often using photography as a sketchbook and thinking tool that initiates spatial and material processes.
César Axel holds an MFA from ECAL (Lausanne) and has exhibited in Switzerland, Mexico, the United States, and Romania.
